Hello 2018 VBS Team!

Thank you again for serving with us last week!  We are so grateful for the ways the Lord used our team this year to connect kids in this community to Christ! We know of at least 8 children who professed faith in Christ last week – Praise God! We are also overjoyed to know that children of all ages walked away sharing God’s truth with their families. Many parents have also told us that they keep catching their children singing the worship songs from the week. Pastor Mark even caught a few “Hi! Oklahoma Joes!” this past Sunday.

We served over 600 children during VBS week, which is absolutely incredible! I am grateful for each & every one of them! We really do believe that few other events offer the potential to reach out to children & adults in our community the way VBS can. For many, it can also be an entry point to church & Christianity. VBS gives the church the opportunity to establish long term relationships with these families in our community. We have also seen families start attending church after their experience at VBS – just this past Sunday we already had at least one family visit Wildwood!

Here are a few of the comments that have been shared with me:

I just wanted to say thanks for doing such a great job with VBS this year! My kids have attended VBS for the past 3 years and it is something they have looked forward to each year. We have a home church in Norman, but our church doesn’t do a VBS and yours is something they really enjoy. We are moving to Idaho this summer, but I wanted to say thanks for providing a great experience for my kids. This year in particular the music must have been extra special, as my kids and their friends were singing the songs all week long. Thank you, Sarah Hille

Thank you for working so hard to pour into our children! My kids had a blast! But more importantly they had a lot of wonderful questions and conversations about what it means to follow Christ and to make that decision. Thank you! Lindsi Neibur

Hi Brooke!

Just wanted to let you know that Mia in our 2nd grade Nupboards group, accepted Christ today.  I sent home the Lead Me pamphlet with her dad and told him to follow up with her at home with the info. She said they are currently looking for a church, and she would like to go to Wildwood.  She has a sister in the 4th grade, I believe.

Glory to God!

Hi Brooke,

Wanted to share another Glory to God moment with you from today…….I heard my little 3 year old (Kenzie) reciting something while she walked through the house today, so when I stopped her and asked her what she was saying, here is what she said……..(see video).  How my heart rejoices at that truth that is being poured into her little heart at such a young age. The mini-VBS teachers are PHENOMENAL

Praising Jesus with you,

Heather Beckham

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all for joining with us this past week as we made room in our lives & in our hearts for these precious kids. My continued prayer for you all is for the God of hope to fill you with all joy & peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks again for sharing Christ with the next generation!
