Honoring Joy Bendrick

The Wildwood Family would like to offer our sincere condolences to Michael Bendrick on the passing of Joy Bendrick this week.

Joy’s Memorial Service will be at Wildwood on Friday, August 3rd, at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers or meals, Michael has suggested the following options to honor Joy’s life:

1.  A memorial gift is being established to support improvements to the nursery at Wildwood Community Church. Donations can be directed to Wildwood Community Church, and designated “Joy’s Nursery Gift”.

2.  Funds may also be directed to Wildwood Community Church and designated  “Fellowship Assistance”.

3.  In lieu of meals, Gift Cards are welcomed (Rib Crib, Whataburger, Red Lobster, Walmart, etc…) and can be dropped off at the church office.

Pictures for Joy’s Memorial can be submitted via email to or dropped by the church office. Please submit your pictures by Sunday, July 22nd.

Looking For A Place To Serve?

We really do believe that a healthy, vibrant children’s ministry is absolutely essential to the growth of the local and global church. DL Moody once said, “If I could relive my life, I would devote my entire ministry to  teaching children for God. “ We have opportunities to serve at the 11:00 am service in Toddler, Pre-K, and Elementary spots. Volunteers serve on a rotation, every other month. To get plugged in, please contact Brooke at

Food and Shelter for Friends Panera Bread Delivery

There are several dates coming up that are available!

Every weekend Panera Bread donates the leftover baked goods to Food and Shelter for Friends- and we need help making this delivery. It is very simple but a huge blessing to those who serve breakfasts to hungry members of our community!

You will pick up the bread from Panera Bread on Saturday night at close (10:00pm) or early Sunday morning (around 7:00am).  Food and Shelter for Friends asked that we just deliver all items the way we receive them (boxes, bags, or whatever) and deliver it on Sunday or Monday  from 7:30 to 1:30.  Any time during that window is fine.

All you do is pick up items at Panera Bread and deliver the boxes as they are to Food and Shelter!  Be sure to take it to Food and Shelter’s NEW LOCATION:  201 Reed Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma 73071

It just takes a little to be a huge blessing, sign up today!

Wildwood wishes to express our sympathy to Amy Lambert and family on the recent death of her father.

Wildwood wishes to express our sympathy to Cathy Snodgrass and family on the recent death of her mother.

Fellowship Assistance

Wildwood has a fellowship assistance fund to help those who are experiencing financial struggles. If God is moving within your heart to help, you can place a gift in the offering (or bring it by the church office). Please mark it “fellowship assistance” in the memo.

Outreach Updates

The Outreach Teams will be providing monthly updates for anyone interested in reaching Norman and beyond! You can sign up via text or email. Text OUTREACH18 to 95577 or email OUTREACH18 to
