“The City” is Going Away

The City’s parent company, ACS, has announced that the technology tool known as “The City” will be going away in February 2019. They shared that the “technical infrastructure became outdated and was no longer a sustainable solution.”

New Solution!

Special Group!  We are rolling out the MyWildwood tool later this month to our dedicated users of The City FIRST because we want to reward you for being faithful users of our online community. We will roll it out to the rest of the church later this Spring.

DNow weekend is fast approaching! (February 22-24)

DNow is an abbreviation for Disciple Now. In its simplest form, a Disciple Now Weekend is a weekend retreat for the Student Ministry. Some retreat weekends are all about getting away and hanging out (which isn’t bad), but DNow puts a high priority on discipleship. There are large group gatherings where a speaker will move through the weekend’s theme as he interacts with Scripture. And there are small group gatherings at Host Homes where students go deeper and discuss with their peers and leader how the lesson plays out in their lives. DNow weekend is a focused time of spiritual formation where we remove ourselves from many distractions and re-rhythm our lives around following Jesus.

Go to for more information, to apply to be host home AND to register your WSM Student.

Our next lunch is Sunday, March 3, after the 11:00 am service, in Room 1. Sign up at or in the Gathering Hall. Legacy’s focus is to encourage adults age 55+. ($5 suggested donation collected at the door.)

A-Team Openings (Security)

We are so thankful for the intentional presence we have at our doors each Sunday.  This team is called the A – Team (action team).  They are present to help in medical emergencies, attend to those with needs and support our police officers on duty.

This team is looking for some additional volunteers either first or second hour.  We work on an every other month (or more if desired) schedule.  We are also looking for an adult volunteer to help in the parking area on a golf cart- this position would be from 10:35-11:05.

If you are interested in finding out more information, please contact Lisa Goering at or talk to anyone of the A Team members.

Reaching Out to Those with Dementia

Wildwood is proud to be a new Faith Outreach partner with the Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter. Faith Outreach Ambassadors, Emily Grave and Kelly Skrapka, can help connect you to the free support services available for both caregivers and those suffering from dementia. For more information, contact Emily ( or Kelly (

Starting Point

Starting Point is the first step to take if you want to get connected here at Wildwood. It is for those who are new to the church, want to get involved, or simply want to know more about our church.

Within the 4-week membership class, we explore the key truths of the Christian faith and unpack the mission and vision of Wildwood.

The next Starting Point class begins on March 24, at 9:45 am, downstairs in Room 4.

We’ll save you a seat.

Fellowship Assistance

Church family, we have people in our body that are experiencing significant financial burdens as they go through very difficult life situations. Thank you! “…Do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” 1 Timothy 6:18.

Looking For A Place To Serve?

We really do believe that a healthy, vibrant children’s ministry is absolutely essential to the growth of the local and global church. DL Moody once said, “If I could relive my life, I would devote my entire ministry to  teaching children for God. “ To get plugged in, please contact Brooke at

Food and Shelter for Friends Panera Bread Delivery

Every weekend Panera Bread donates the leftover baked goods to Food and Shelter for Friends- and we need help making this delivery. It is very simple but a huge blessing to those who serve breakfasts to hungry members of our community!

You will pick up the bread from Panera Bread on Saturday night at close (10:00pm) or early Sunday morning (around 7:00am).  Food and Shelter for Friends asked that we just deliver all items the way we receive them (boxes, bags, or whatever) and deliver it on Sunday or Monday  from 7:30 to 1:30.  Any time during that window is fine.

All you do is pick up items at Panera Bread and deliver the boxes as they are to Food and Shelter!  Be sure to take it to Food and Shelter’s NEW LOCATION:  201 Reed Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma 73071

It just takes a little to be a huge blessing, sign up today!

Join the Team Welcoming Others to Church!

Do you know what it is like to walk into a new church the first time?  Do you want to help others find a place at Wildwood that fits their gifts and passions?  Do you understand how important it is to be in Christian community? Whether you have been at Wildwood for 10 years or 2 weeks, you can serve with us!  This is a fantastic way to connect your self to the mission of our church!

If you are interested in greeting at the front doors, serving at the gathering hall desk, connecting others by providing information about Wildwood, ushering or serving on our A Team (security team); we would love to have you join our team!  To ask questions or sign up to serve, contact or 405-628-9307
